Last updated: June 20, 2026

This Privacy Policy ("Policy") describes, in general terms, how the operator of Dangal Place (dangalplace.com) and its affiliates (collectively, "we", "us", or "our") may collect, use, disclose, and otherwise process personal information in connection with our careers website, application services, and related activities. This Policy is provided for transparency and general informational purposes only and does not constitute legal advice.

By accessing this site or submitting an application, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to the practices described in this Policy. If you do not agree with this Policy, please do not access the site or submit any information to us.

1. Who We Are

For purposes of applicable data protection law, including the Philippines Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173, "RA 10173") and other applicable laws, the controller (or "Personal Information Controller") of personal information processed under this Policy is the operator of Dangal Place, a United States based organization. Our registered name and a postal contact address are set out in the "Contact Us" section below. We may from time to time engage affiliates, successors, and service providers in connection with the activities described in this Policy.

2. Scope

This Policy applies to personal information that we may collect from or about individuals who access our careers site, submit applications or expressions of interest, or otherwise interact with us in connection with prospective or actual engagement opportunities, including but not limited to applicants, prospective contractors, and individuals whose information may be included within materials submitted to us. We reserve the right to apply supplemental notices or terms to particular activities as appropriate.

3. Information We May Collect

We may collect, use, and otherwise process various categories of personal information, including but not limited to:

You are responsible for the information you choose to provide. We encourage you to provide only such information as is appropriate and relevant for the purposes described in this Policy.

4. How We May Use Your Information

We may use the personal information we collect for legitimate business purposes, including but not limited to:

We may rely on one or more lawful bases for processing, including but not limited to your consent, the taking of steps at your request prior to or in connection with a potential engagement, our legitimate interests, and compliance with applicable legal obligations, in each case as permitted or required by applicable law. Where required, we process sensitive personal information in reliance on your consent or such other lawful grounds as may apply.

5. Cookies and Similar Technologies

We and our service providers may use cookies, browser storage, and similar technologies from time to time in connection with the operation and security of our site, including but not limited to bot-detection, fraud prevention, performance, and the delivery of content. Your interactions with our site may involve the processing of technical information, including but not limited to your IP address and browser characteristics, by us and by our service providers.

We may set a first-party session cookie on your device when you visit our site. This cookie contains a randomly generated identifier and is used solely to link your page visit with any application you choose to submit, for the purpose of understanding how applicants reach us and improving our site. It does not track your activity across other websites, does not contain any directly identifying information, and expires after thirty (30) days. You may disable or delete cookies through your browser settings; doing so will not prevent you from submitting an application, but may limit our ability to attribute your application to its source.

6. Service Providers and Disclosures

We may share or otherwise make available personal information with third parties for the purposes described in this Policy, including but not limited to service providers, vendors, and infrastructure or technology providers that perform functions on our behalf. By way of example and not limitation, our site and communications may involve infrastructure, content-delivery, and security providers (which may process network traffic, IP addresses, and related information for delivery and security purposes) and communication and email-delivery providers (which may process contact information in connection with the delivery of communications). Such providers may process information in the United States and other jurisdictions.

Where you undergo identity verification in connection with an application or engagement, we may engage a third-party identity-verification provider (currently Didit). That provider may process a government-issued identification document, a facial image, and related information on its own secure platform in order to verify your identity, in accordance with its own terms and privacy notice. We receive only the result of the verification and your verified name; we do not receive or store the underlying identification document or facial image.

Where you are engaged as a contractor and we make payments to you, we use third-party payment providers (currently Wise and PayPal) to process those payments. Such providers process your payment-related information in accordance with their own terms and privacy notices.

If you choose to use optional practice roleplay or coaching features, your practice messages may be processed by a third-party AI model provider solely to generate simulated customer replies and coaching feedback. Optional practice is not used by itself to score, rank, or make hiring or engagement decisions about you.

We may also disclose personal information as we deem necessary or appropriate, including but not limited to: in connection with a corporate transaction, reorganization, financing, merger, sale, or transfer of assets; to comply with applicable law, legal process, or governmental request; to enforce our terms or protect our rights, property, safety, or those of others; and as otherwise permitted or required by applicable law.

We do not sell personal information. Where we engage service providers, they are expected to process personal information consistent with our instructions and applicable law.

7. Information Security

We maintain technical, organizational, and administrative measures intended to protect personal information against unauthorized or unlawful processing and against accidental loss, destruction, or damage, as we consider appropriate. However, no method of transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be absolutely secure, and we do not warrant the security of any information. Where required by applicable law, including RA 10173, we will address security incidents and provide notifications as appropriate. Where a personal data breach is likely to give rise to a real risk to your rights and freedoms, we will notify the National Privacy Commission and the affected individuals within seventy-two (72) hours of becoming aware of it, in accordance with RA 10173.

8. Data Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, after which we delete or de-identify it. As a general matter, where you are not selected for an engagement or do not proceed with us, we delete or de-identify your application materials, including any video responses and uploaded documents, within twelve (12) months. The applicable retention period otherwise varies according to the nature of the information, the purpose for which it is processed, and our legal, contractual, financial, and operational requirements, including any need to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims. Where a longer retention period is required by applicable law, we retain the relevant information for such period as is necessary.

9. International Processing

We are based in the United States, and the personal information we process may be transferred to, stored in, or otherwise processed in the United States and in other jurisdictions that may have data protection laws different from those of your jurisdiction. By providing your information or otherwise interacting with us, you acknowledge that your information may be processed in such locations, as permitted or required by applicable law. We take steps we consider appropriate to protect personal information wherever it is processed.

10. Your Rights

Subject to and in accordance with applicable law, including RA 10173 and other applicable frameworks, you may have certain rights in relation to your personal information, which may include, as applicable, the right to be informed, to access, to rectify or correct, to object to or restrict processing, to erasure or blocking, to data portability, to withdraw consent (without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out prior to withdrawal), and to seek redress or lodge a complaint with an applicable supervisory authority. We may take steps to verify your identity and may decline requests as permitted or required by applicable law. To exercise any such right, please contact us using the details set out below.

11. Minimum Age

Our site and services are intended for individuals who meet the applicable minimum working age and are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals below the applicable minimum age. If you believe that we may have collected such information, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps as permitted or required by applicable law.

12. Changes to this Policy

We may update or revise this Policy from time to time, in our sole discretion and as we consider appropriate. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date above, and any changes will be effective upon posting unless otherwise indicated. Your continued access to or use of the site following the posting of any changes constitutes your acknowledgement of the revised Policy. We reserve the right to modify our practices at any time, as permitted or required by applicable law.
